You know the feeling: your neighbor walks in your front door and you immediately feel that turning in your stomach. “Are they going to notice this ugly paint color? I can’t believe I haven’t replaced these floors yet. I hope they don’t notice that my cabinets are dated!” It’s easy to get wrapped up in what is wrong or missing from your house especially when channels like HGTV put picture perfect homes in front of us all the time. Sometimes, we get so wrapped up that we forget we are still called to share hospitality with others, To welcome them in. To share meals together. To experience God in our midst when others are with us. This week, Pastor David and Pastor Cassandra are tackling the question, “Is HGTV stopping us from welcoming others?”
